Press Release: 28.03.2011
Media World Logistics & Intervideo Join Forces.
Long established media servicing companies Media World Logistics and Intervideo have agreed a formal partnership to create an all encompassing media asset management specialist.
For the first time a single organisation will be able to offer a complete media service that provides clients with all facets of Technical Servicing, Physical / Digital Distribution and Shipping, Storage and Inventory Management, Market & Festival Delivery and Event Management.
Intervideo is London’s longest serving independent video facility, offering a wide range of broadcast mastering, standards conversion, quality assessment facilities and unrivalled standards of customer service since 1977. Media World Logistics was established in 1983 for the servicing of international media markets and festivals and has since grown its collection of services to incorporate the storage of media libraries and physical distribution. Together they now present the complete media servicing portfolio. The companies will operate in full collaboration - but trade under individual names to protect the highly respected, globally recognised brands. There will continue to be a strong presence in conventional media storage and shipping services - with a steady progression into digital media by means of large investment in digital asset conversion, storage and delivery.
Dean Monahan (Sales and Marketing Director for the group) says “In these challenging yet exciting times we are now able to provide a complete media service. The benefits of the merger to the industry are considerable. Whilst obvious cost savings come through using only one vendor, the real value is derived from time saving, control and administration”.
“The amount of time a media company invests dual handling through numerous vendors in the service chain is generally identified as an unquantifiable cost. We are already working with all of the top 20 UK TV distributors in singular capacities and the partnership means clients can now issue one single order for all services from tech servicing right through to final delivery anywhere in the world”. The new portfolio of services will be unveiled at Miptv 2011 where Media World Logistics are the official shipping agent for the Reed Midem event. Any enquiries should be directed to Dean Monahan through the Media World Logistics website: WWW.MWLUK.COM
